This is actually Nate's first real, true giggle! We've had a few early ones, but this was the first real one and I caught it on camera...enjoy!

Where does he get this stuff?
Simon picks up new tricks all the time, and we often don't know where they came from. The latest example: DJing! He set himself up with 2 turntables and got down to business! Note the compassionate way he deals with his little brother midway through...

An aside
Just a fun note...
When I took Nate to the doctor that helped his tongue tie, they kept calling him Mr Universe because he looks like he's always making muscles...take a look at his three month picture again for an example:
But when I looked back at pictures of Simon (and Dad), I saw that Nate comes by it honestly--it must be in our blood to show off our guns at all times!

3 months!
Nate turned 3 months old on the 14th, which was also Valentine's Day. He is doing really well--his potassium this week was 5.9--higher than normal but not as high as it has been in the past. I'm not sure what the game plan is now, we will talk to our doctor tomorrow and see what he thinks.
Nate is generally a happy, smiley baby and he loves to have "conversations" with us. He has done an early giggle a couple of times, but it's not a regular thing yet. He is working hard on learning to reach out for his toys and has managed to grab the rings of his bouncy seat a couple of times recently.
We finally got up the courage to start putting him down to sleep in our room versus letting him sleep in the swing for the first few hours of the night and it's gone well so far. He is a decent sleeper--he goes down around 7:30, sleeps somewhat straight until about 1 or 2, eats quickly then goes back to sleep until around 6:30AM. He does get very restless after the feeding, which is likely due to his reflux, so there is a fair bit of comforting that happens from about 3-6, but hopefully his reflux will continue to get better as he gets older and we will be on a good track to getting him to sleep completely through the night.
More to come on this month, including a visit from Grandma, but for now, here's his 3 month picture!

Cute photos
Just a couple of cute pictures and a quick Nate update...his potassium was normal yesterday, which is awesome! It was at 5.5, which is the lowest it's been since we started testing. He will continue his medication and gets a pass on blood draws for 10 days. Fingers crossed it stays down, but we will see.
We did find out on Monday that he was "tongue-tied", which means that his frenulum under his tongue was too far forward/tight and had to be clipped to release it. He has had some feeding difficulties, in addition to the reflux, and this should hopefully help. He is healing quickly and it didn't really seem to bother him for long.
And big brother is doing well--we are in the midst of a bedtime battle, trying to get it back closer to 7:30ish in an effort to get him to sleep in later than his usual 4:45-5AM. They say that "sleep begets sleep" when it comes to young kids, so we are hoping this will help.
Finally, a few cute photos!
