21 Months

What a fun month. We actually had some days of sun here and there, so we were able to get out more. We played in our backyard and spent a lot of time at a nearby park.

Simon loves to go down the slide and graduated to the big boy slide recently. He loves to see dogs, but gets scared when they actually come up to him. And he loves pointing out babies, which is very cute.

A few other new tricks this month: he has learned to eat with a fork and actually seems to eat more when he uses it, which is great because he's such a terrible, picky eater. And he is learning his colors! He can pretty consistently identify about 6-7 colors when you ask him to point them out and can sometimes tell you on his own what they are.

Grandpa, Aunt Karyn and Neville came to visit for Karyn's birthday, which was great. We went out to dinner, to the park, and hit the toy store, where Grandpa bought Simon a very cool wagon! Simon has been obsessing about other people's wagon at the park, so he was very excited to start riding in his own.

Here are a few pictures from the month!

Simon hasn't quite figured out the singing part of his new microphone toy...but he's definitely having fun!

Simon and I went to the park after work yesterday, and there were two kids there with their dads hitting a ball off a t-ball stand. Simon was very interested and they let him try it was a hit (no pun intended).

So after work today, I of course immediately bought him a t-ball set...check him out!

Big news for Mother's Day!

While this probably won't be a big surprise to anyone who actually reads this blog...I'm pregnant! Baby #2 is due in November, I am 12 weeks today. Simon is going to be a big brother!

I will start adding some pregnancy details to this blog, but for today, i just wanted to share the news, post the picture of Simon in his big brother t-shirt and thank my boys for a beautiful Mother's Day!

I woke up to waffles (my favorite) on Sunday morning, with fresh strawberries on the side and a few flowers picked from the yard for decoration. We went to our PEPS meeting, and then after nap, they sent me off to a really nice local spa for an hour long facial! It was wonderful and luxurious. They also picked me up a bouquet of tulips and Simon made me a wonderful card at daycare. Finally, to cap it off, Matt made me a Mother's Day cake last night, yum!

A beautiful day, can't believe next year we will have 2 to celebrate with!

Flopping around

Simon has been having a lot of fun recently flopping around on our bed. He can get really crazy with it...this is a slightly sedate example:
