Sumo!

I taught Nate to stomp like a Sumo wrestler...and then put him in a diaper and ponytail and took a video of him:

Rainy spring

We get creative around the house when it's wet and rainy, particularly in the spring when we are all stir-crazy already. Here are Nate and Simon going for a ride in their "car"; notice how Simon holds Nate in.

Proud Mama

This is an unabashedly proud post, so get ready.

Simon's school has been telling us that he seems to need more challenging things to do and learn. They have noticed him getting bored and acting out, so they are finding new activities to keep him challenged and interested. Part of the reason they spent three weeks learning about space was because it's an area of interest for him, and they are always looking for new books and materials to get him thinking.

I got an email from the director of the daycare last week telling me that she brought over a couple of harder puzzles from the older room for Simon and he was able to do a 48 piece puzzle with a little help. Here's his weekly note from his teacher talking about it.

Kailey's party

Simon went to a party for a friend, held at a dance studio. It was really cute to see them all watching the teacher intently and trying to follow her movements.

Silliness

Here are a couple of silly videos:

First, Matt and I made the boys jetpacks out of water bottles, plastic cups, duct tape and tissue paper. It wasn't long before they were completely destroyed, but they did get some jetpacking in before that happened.

And right before nap yesterday, Nate was kind of trying to repeat words I said, with little success.

Space!

Simon is VERY into space these days, and we talk about it all the time. They also spent three weeks on a space unit at daycare recently, so he was coming home full of new knowledge everyday. Here is a video of him showing off some of his knowledge.

And just to keep things even, here is Nate "stomping" the stomp rocket...with his butt.
