Fun evening

We had a nice evening playing around at home tonight. Here's what we were up to:

And then we played...whatever this game is called. Nate made it up a month or so ago--he will hand me this specific pillow and make me sit on the ground while he starts running around me in a circle. Simon completely approves of this new game and joins in happily.

Simon started showing interest in the guitar a little before two, if I recall correctly, and Nate is following in his footsteps. He hasn't quite figured out yet how to hold it, but he loves to jam out!

We started a new tradition this year, a "birthday interview" that will happen annually starting at age 4, for both boys. I had a book made for Simon, with the same list of questions that we will ask him each year. Here are his answers at age 4!

Last days of summer

I'm getting a little ahead of myself, since we are supposed to have the hottest week of the year ahead of us, but we have spent the last couple of weekends getting in lots of outdoor activities before fall truly arrives.

We brought out all of the back yard water toys out last weekend, as well as the great tower of snacks that Nate is holding:

We went to the spray park again last weekend, as well as Magnuson Park where the boys waded in the lake:

Before Simon's 4th birthday checkup, on a cool wet morning, we went over to the Locks for a quick walk:

And a couple of cute indoor shots: Nate climbed up onto Matt the other day for a snuggle, it was really sweet.
