On the go

The boys are all about wheels these days, and they both have new tricks up their sleeves. Simon has definitely graduated from the tricycle and is still very hesitant about the balance bike, so we got him a bike with training wheels! He tried for a bit but it'll take some practice to really get going. Here's a very quick video of him!

And while Nate has now inherited the trike, what he has really had his eye on for a while is a scooter. We found one made for toddlers and wow, is he a quick study! This was within the first 15 minutes of taking it out of the package.

Alligators and bumblebees

Nate came with me to Simon's OT appointment this past week and we spent the time playing with the train set in the waiting room. He found two small hairclips and called them alligators because of their teeth.

Today Simon drew his favorite Transformer, Bumblebee, and then stood on the table to take pictures of his artwork.

Cute pictures

I had no real tie for these pictures except that they are all cute and I wanted to share them.

Batman came in in the middle of the night and slept in our bed recently.

Big umbrellas for little boys.

Simon post-bath, looking like some kind of king of the jungle.

The boys playing in a little playhouse at the plant nursery nearby.

Bikes

With spring on its way, we are starting to get out just a bit more. The boys are very interested in the various bikes we have, here are some pictures and videos of their latest skills.

Before it was quite warm enough to get outside, Nate put his "helmet" on and tried to bike around the living room. It didn't go so well.

We thought that maybe that was a good sign that we did need to get outside, so we took the boys to a big empty parking lot to try the trike and the balance bike. Simon actually took a ride on the balance bike, it's been one of the very few things that intimidates him.

Nate did well on the trike, although the helmet doesn't quite fit that well.
