Catch Up

It's been a couple of weeks...I traveled for work, Matt faced 4 days alone with the boys, and we are all alive to tell the tale. Here are some pictures and videos of what we've been up to.

The boys' school had a science fair and each of the classrooms had a different experiment set up for the parents and kids to do together. It also happened to be PJ day, which explains the outfits.

We recently got a picture of Simon and his PEPS friends--we've been meeting together as a group since they were newborns!

Nate the fireman!

Simon the, ummm, Cinco de Mayo celebrant!

And one last shot, of the boys sleeping together. This is classic--Simon fully dressed and under a down comforter and Nate basically naked with no covers at all.

Mother's Day

I had a really nice Mother's Day a couple of weeks ago. The boys brought home sweet cards from school, Matt got me a sweet card and after breakfast in bed, they sent me off for a massage. Later that day, we went on the Ride the Ducks tour, and played tourist right here in Seattle. It was great, the boys loved it!

We randomly ran into Darth and a Stormtrooper too. Simon was EXCITED!

Nate being Nate

Just a couple of videos of Nate doing his thing:

Here he is getting down to the theme song from World Girl.

And here he is making the rules of our game very clear:

Simon being Simon

Simon put together a pretty complicated Lego set, the Millenium Falcon, all by himself with me helping with the directions. He was very proud!

And today he wore his new Fire Chief costume all through Fred Meyer, talking through the (fake, thankfully) megaphone the whole time.

On the go

The boys are all about wheels these days, and they both have new tricks up their sleeves. Simon has definitely graduated from the tricycle and is still very hesitant about the balance bike, so we got him a bike with training wheels! He tried for a bit but it'll take some practice to really get going. Here's a very quick video of him!

And while Nate has now inherited the trike, what he has really had his eye on for a while is a scooter. We found one made for toddlers and wow, is he a quick study! This was within the first 15 minutes of taking it out of the package.

Alligators and bumblebees

Nate came with me to Simon's OT appointment this past week and we spent the time playing with the train set in the waiting room. He found two small hairclips and called them alligators because of their teeth.

Today Simon drew his favorite Transformer, Bumblebee, and then stood on the table to take pictures of his artwork.

Cute pictures

I had no real tie for these pictures except that they are all cute and I wanted to share them.

Batman came in in the middle of the night and slept in our bed recently.

Big umbrellas for little boys.

Simon post-bath, looking like some kind of king of the jungle.

The boys playing in a little playhouse at the plant nursery nearby.

Nate looking for a snack.

Simon learning to type!
