Sick house

We have had at least one person in the family sick for a week and a half now. It started early last week with Nate's cold that made him projectile vomit anytime he coughed hard enough. He even pulled that stunt at daycare (sorry Nina and Renee). Then I got a stomach bug on Thursday and was down for the count for a couple of days. Monday we woke up to Nate with a fever and Simon a little on the quiet side but no obvious issues, so he went to school and Nate stayed home. Within 30 minutes we got a call that Simon was complaining that his stomach was hurting and he was cuddling with one of his teachers, which is very unlike him at school. Matt turned around, picked him up and brought him home and we all had a sick day. Simon went out with Matt briefly and ended up throwing up outside the car (thank god), and he spent the rest of the day curled up on the couch with me. Poor guy, I think this was the first time he has ever really been sick, other than with a cold, and he didn't know what hit him. He had a fever of about 102 most of the day, refused to eat or drink anything and just said he was cold.

Nate didn't seem to actually be sick, I'm thinking he is just teething, as his fever hasn't gone above 99.5 or so. So he went back to school today but Simon stayed home again and Matt ended up with the stomach bug. It's been a lot of fun around here recently! Here are a few pictures of the last couple of days with sick Simon.

Look at that sad little face, all bundled up in a fleece coat and blanket on the couch. I asked if there was anything I could do for him and he just said "Make me warm". :(

Hanging out with his puke bowl, just in case.

He wanted to play his board game, but what that actually meant was that he brought his pillow and blanket to the floor and I did all the playing for both of us.

He was feeling better today, so we lost the fleece and blanket, gained a lollipop and Buzz and Woody joined us on the couch.

And...Simon is back!
