25 Days of Christmas--Day 13

Today's drawer came with me to pick Simon up early at school, but here's what was in it:

A gift...so we did another giving-related activity today. We went to a nearby toy store, picked out a couple of new toys and then walked to the pharmacy next door and donated them via their Toys for Tots bin. Simon would have liked to keep the cool looking rocket toy he picked out, but happily dropped in into the bin (and then tried to take another toy out).

Then, as a bonus, he and I went to Starbucks and had some snacks and treats. He was concerned about Nate being lost at school, and kept talking about how we had to go back and get him. Once he had a massive snowman cookie sitting in front of him, all was well. :)

  1. I am totally enjoying your 25 days of Christmas...very creative, very touching and a very good way to soak in the meaning of the season. I love that Simon has been learning the spirit of giving this Christmas. It looks like you had a very nice visit from the Winstanleys last weekend. All good stuff.
And I love that Simon is concerned about Nate alone at daycare...too cute!
