25 Days of Christmas--Day 3

Today we focused a little less on Christmas and more on winter. We talked about how birds and squirrels can have trouble finding food in the winter and we made some easy bird/squirrel feeders.

First, the hint:

We took 4 plastic lids that we had around and spread peanut butter on them:

...and then dipped them in birdseed. Tomorrow morning Dad will take Simon out to place them in the yard. Hopefully we don't just bring our friendly neighborhood raccoon family over for a visit.

While Nate is a background player in some of these activities, he's having lots of fun these days too. He's been learning to draw:

And showing off his feathered curls! We are getting ready for a big haircut for him this weekend!
